Capita Healthcare Decisions Announces Microsoft Silver Cloud Competency

Saturday, 06 June 2015, 06:44 Hrs

Capita Healthcare Decisions has been awarded a Silver Cloud Platform Microsoft Competency, demonstrating innovation and experience in the use of cloud technology.

Capita Healthcare Decisions has 16 years’ experience delivering solutions to some of the world’s leading healthcare providers and insurers – and has powered over 85 million patient transactions.

Capita’s Decision Management System (DMS), which can be deployed in Microsoft’s Azure cloud platform, enables organisations to quickly deploy and manage their workflows across multiple locations. With more clients choosing to integrate DMS within their own systems, websites and mobile apps, a cloud deployment offers availability and scalability.

The DMS forms the algorithmic clinical decision support element of Salus – Capita’s Microsoft Dynamics based Patient Relationship Management System with integrated clinical decision support. Salus facilitates collaborative, safe patient care for all organisations involved in the delivery of healthcare services.

Phil Sorgen, corporate vice president, Worldwide Partner Group at Microsoft Corp. said: “By achieving a Silver Competency, organisations have proven their expertise in specific technology areas, placing them among the top five percent of Microsoft partners worldwide.

“When customers look for an IT partner to meet their business challenges, choosing a company that has attained Microsoft competencies is a smart move. These are highly qualified professionals with access to Microsoft technical support and product teams.”

Pippa Rhys, Capita Health Decisions product and market director, said: “As the healthcare industry shifts towards an information and patient-centric care delivery model, the benefits of cloud are becoming more apparent.

“In addition to lower capital outlays, our new cloud deployment capabilities will facilitate collaborative rkflows and data sharing across care settings, significantly reducing delay in treatment and improving clinical outcomes. This Silver Cloud Competency strengthens our relationship with Microsoft and proves our expertise and knowledge of Microsoft Cloud products.”
