With a geriatric population of over 200 million in India, the country is still struggling to build a mechanism which could provide care to people in their golden years. A majority of Indians, living far from their parents, despite having the capability to spend on healthcare services are not able to find quality services to take care of their elderly parents back home. The need for home healthcare services becomes imperative in post-operative care due to acute shortage of hospitals. Thus, to regulate the fragmented healthcare system in India, Indicare, a care management organization has launched its Careline services to provide continuity of care. "Our services enable the Indian healthcare system to create a support mechanism for patients in both preventive and post-operative care," says Dr Anuradha Sunil, Founder of Indicare Health Services Pvt. Unlike other service providers who provide services using freelancers, Indicare boasts of full-time employed staff, which undergoes rigorous training to ensure that they maintain standard operating guidelines while working with and caring for patients.

With a view to maintain accountability and transparency with patients, Indicare has adopted 100 percent paperless processes, where patient interactions are documented using robust electronic health record system along with automated reporting system to patient, family and doctor. In addition, with the online appointment system, patients can easily choose convenient service timings from the comfort of their home.

Indicare has also been enthusiastically exploring roles and contributions in the smart cities initiative of the government. Dr. Anuradha asserts, "We are actively working with the government in promoting Careline services to build awareness for better health, especially women and geriatric patients. For this, we have decided to focus on top 20 cities of India to build leadership in the coming three years."

Growing at a rate of 15 percent month over month, Indicare has been progressively gaining satisfied customers across Delhi NCR region, with tie-ups with more than 50 hospitals and corporate.
